The Analysis of bicycling safety in the region of Tábor

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce analyzuje bezpečnost cyklistické dopravy na Táborsku. Práce je přínosem všem, kteří se věnují cyklistice. Zabývá se vysvětlením pojmů důležitých k pochopení cyklistické dopravy, správném chování a uvažování cyklistů, než vyjedou do společného provozu s ostatními. Popis nehod nejen na Táborsku, ale také i v celé České republice, je odstrašujícím příkladem k tomu, aby se nejen cyklisté, ale i ostatní, chovali tak, jak mají během provozu. Dále pak je zpracováno dotazníkové šetření mezi lidmi na Táborsku a popsána analýza nehodovosti nejen na Táborsku. V práci jsou použita některá data z Cyklistického generelu aktualizovaného v roce 2008 pro město Tábor. Konec bakalářské práce se snaží zjistit, zda lidé na Táborsku znají bezpečnostní předpisy, cyklotrasy nebo cyklostezky ve svém okolí a jestli používají svá jízdní kola a dbají o svou bezpečnost.

Abstract:

The thesis analyzes the safety of bicycle transportation in the Tabor region. It is useful for all who are interested in cycling. It deals with the explanation of the terms that are important for understanding the bicycle transportation and correct behavior and thinking of bicyclists before they join the traffic. Descriptions of the accidents not only in the Tabor region, but also in the Czech Republic are deterrent not only to bicyclists, but also to others and are intended to help people to properly behave in the traffic. Furthermore, it evaluates a survey taken in the city of Tabor and describes the analysis of accidents not only in the city of Tabor. There are some data used from a cycling manual for the city of Tabor updated in 2008. The end of this thesis is trying to find out whether the people in Tabor region know the safety regulations, biking or cycling routes in the area, if they use their bicycles and are aware of their own safety.
