Baťa Company in China in the Interwar Period

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce „Baťa v Číně v meziválečném období“ pojednává o vstupu firmy Baťa na čínský trh na přelomu 20. a 30. let. Práce podrobně analyzuje důvody a podmínky pronikání firmy na trh a následné problémy, se kterými se musela firma potýkat. V práci nechybí tabulky a grafy s daty a komentáři o odbytu zboží, které nastínily důvody měnícího se odbytu baťovského zboží v Číně v průběhu let. Primárním účelem práce je pomocí kritické analýzy dobových pramenů podat příspěvek ke studiu firmy Baťa v meziválečném období v Číně.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis "Bata in China between World wars" discusses the Bata Company entering the Chinese market in the late 20s and 30s. Work gives a detailed analysis of the reasons and conditions of the company gaining insight into the market followed by problems with whom the company dealt with. The work also includes charts and graphs with data and commentary on the distribution of goods, which describe the cause of the change of the sales of Bata goods in China over the years. The primary purpose of the work is the critical analysis of sources from that period to bring a contribution to the study of Bata Company between World Wars in China.
