Biomechanics of knee and ankle joint landing on different types of mats in gymnastics

Abstract:

Sportovní gymnastika je charakterizována jako esteticko-koordinační činnost, která tvoří neomezené množství dílčích cvičebních projevů a koordinačně složitých pohybů. Zejména během doskoku jsou kolena a hlezno nejvíce zatíženými klouby, proto je typ podložky důležitým aspektem při gymnastickém doskoku. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda rozdílné doskokové žíněnky a materiály vedou ke změnám v kinematice kolenního a hlezenního kloubu u sportovních gymnastek ve fázi doskoku. Kinetické data měřených gymnastický prvků byly získány za pomoci silové plošiny Kistler v prostoru. Probandi měli na potřebných bodech lidského těla markery, pomocí kterých jsme kalibrací devíti infračervených kamerami Qualisys získali kinematická data. Hrubá data byla analyzována pomocí softwaru QTM a poté exportována do programu Visual 3D. Z výsledných dat není možné vyvodit závěry, která z dopadových ploch je vhodnější pro prevenci zranění pohybového aparátu sportovních gymnastek.

Abstract:

Gymnastics is characterized as an aesthetic-coordination activity, which consists of an unlimited number of partial exercise manifestations and coordination-complex movements. Especially during the landing, the knees and ankles are the most stressed joints, so the type of mat is an important aspect in the gymnastic landing. The aim of the work is to find out whether different landing mats and materials lead to changes in the kinematics of the knee and ankle joint in gymnasts in the landing phase. Kinetic data of the measured gymnastic elements were obtained using the Kistler force platform in space. Probands had markers at the necessary points on the human body, with which we obtained kinematic data by calibrating nine Qualisys infrared cameras. The raw data was analyzed using QTM software and then exported to Visual 3D. From the resulting data it is not possible to draw conclusions which of the impact surfaces is more suitable for the prevention of injuries to the musculoskeletal system of gymnasts.
