The evaluation of benefits of selective primary prevention programs

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou selektivní primární prevence ve školství. Cílem této práce je zhodnotit přínos programů selektivní primární prevence, které jsou školám poskytovány externí institucí. V teoretické části práce jsou definovány pojmy jako je rizikové chování či primární prevence a je zde také vymezeno fungování preventivních programů v rámci českého školství. V praktické části práce se autorka snaží zjistit, zda učitele vnímají tyto programy jako přínosné a zda jim pomohly k řešení problému ve třídě. Tyto informace jsou získány z polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s třídními učiteli, kteří se zúčastnili těchto programů. Diplomová práce je napsána ve spolupráci s Centrem prevence v Brně, které poskytuje programy primární prevence v rámci Jihomoravského kraje. Výsledky práce mohou sloužit jako zpětná vazba na programy selektivní primární prevence, které jsou školám poskytovány touto organizací.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of selective primary prevention in education. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the benefits of selective primary prevention programs, which are provided by external institutions. In the theoretical part, the concepts of risk behavior and primary prevention are defined and there is also introduced the system of primary prevention in Czech education. In research part the author tries to find out whether teachers find these programs as beneficial and whether they help to solve problems in the class. The information is gathered from semi-structured interviews with class teachers who got involved in the programs. The thesis is written in cooperation with Centrum prevence v Brně, which provides programs of primary prevention in the South-Moravian region. The results of the thesis could be utilized as feedback for the providers of selective primary prevention programs
