Analysis of specifics in project management within multinational system integration projects and elaboration of conceptual solution model of these specifics and factors

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je analýza specifik projektového řízení v rámci nadnárodních projektů systémové integrace a následné vypracování rámcového návrhu jejich řešení. Hlavním cílem práce tedy je navrhnout takové řešení, které bude naplňovat všechny požadavky specifického prostředí nadnárodních projektů systémové integrace a navíc bude možné tento rámcový návrh implementovat do stávajícího modelu projektového řízení, jenž je aplikován ve společnosti, ve které autor působí a tím přispět ke zvýšení úspěšnosti daného typu projektů. K dosažení cílů práce byl zvolen postup, v rámci kterého je nejprve vymezeno prostředí nadnárodních projektů systémové integrace, včetně vymezení nejdůležitějších pojmů, následně je provedena rešerše dostupné literatury s cílem odhalit, zdali problematika již nebyla některým z autorů řešena, následně je proveden rozbor běžně užívaných standardů projektového řízení a v druhé části práce je provedena samotná analýza specifik nadnárodních projektů systémové integrace, včetně identifikace hlavních problémů a kritických faktorů úspěšnosti těchto projektů a v poslední části práce je na základě analýzy vypracován zmíněný rámcový koncept řešení těchto specifických aspektů. Tomuto členění také odpovídá struktura celého textu práce. Hlavním plánovaným přínosem práce je, jak již bylo zmíněno, analyzovat dosud poměrně málo popsané prostředí velkých, nadnárodních projektů systémové integrace, a následně pomocí změn v rámci projektového řízení zlepšit úspěšnost realizace těchto projektů ve společnosti, ve které autor působí.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is an analysis of specifics in project management within multinational system integration projects together with elaboration of conceptual solution model of these specifics and factors. Main objective of this thesis is to elaborate solution which will fulfil all the requirements of specific environment of project management within multinational system integration projects and to develop conceptual project management framework which could be implemented into current project management model of author's company which will contribute to higher success rate of this kind of projects. To achieve the goals of this thesis it was needed to define an environment of the projects, on which is the thesis focused, together with most important terms. Then it was needed to make a research of commercial and non-commercial literature and final theses with aim to prove that the topic of this thesis has not been yet described and solved. In second part of this final thesis, the research of most commonly used project management standards and specifics of multinational system integration projects is made, together with identification of main problems and critical success factors of these projects. In the last part of the thesis is developed the previously mentioned conceptual solution model of these specifics and aspects. This also defines the whole structure of the final thesis. Main planned benefit of this text is an analysis of environment of this kind of projects which has not been yet thoroughly described and also improvement of multinational system integration projects realisation success rate in author's company.
