Prevention of school failure of children from socially excluded localities

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je tematicky zaměřena na problematiku výuky a komplexní podpory žáků se sociálním znevýhodněním. Text práce je standardně členěn na část teoretickou a část empirickou. Teoretická východiska práce jsou postavena na aktuálních poznatcích z oblasti problematiky sociální stratifikace, sociálního vyloučení a jeho dopadů do oblasti vzdělávání. Pozornost je věnována také konceptu sociálního znevýhodnění a možnostem jeho překonávání. Praktická část práce je zaměřena na prezentaci výzkumného šetření zacíleného na analýzu úspěšných strategií komplexní podpory poskytované při edukaci žáků se sociálním znevýhodněním. Výzkumná data jsou získávána prostřednictvím tvorby případových studií, především metodou dotazování a kritické analýzy dokumentů. Výstupem práce je nejen popis příkladů dobré praxe, ale také formulace strukturovaných doporučení a návrhů směřující ke zlepšení strategií pedagogů a sociálních pracovníků ve zkoumané oblasti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is thematically focused on the issue of teaching and comprehensive support for socially disadvantaged pupils. The text of the thesis is standardly divided into a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical basis of the work is based on current knowledge in the field of social stratification, social exclusion and its impact on education. Attention is also paid to the concept of social disadvantage and the possibilities of overcoming it. The practical part of the work is focused on the presentation of a research survey aimed at the analysis of successful strategies of comprehensive support provided in the education of students with social disadvantages. Research data are obtained through the creation of case studies, especially the method of questioning and critical analysis of documents. The output of the work is not only a description of examples of good practice, but also the formulation of structured recommendations and proposals aimed at improving the strategies of teachers and social workers in the research area.
