Philosopher and Experimental Philosophy

Abstract:

Experimentální filosofie je obor s velkou budoucností. Práce se snaží definovat ohraničení této oblasti, a zařadit ji do současného multidisciplinárního kontextu. Na jedné straně vyjasňuje pojmy, se kterými tento podobor pracuje, a ukazuje jejich vývoj v posledních padesáti letech, na druhé straně se snaží o vhled do současné situace západní vědy. Ve druhé části se snaží ukázat praktické, současné směry, jimiž se experimentální filosofie může ubírat. Tento text kriticky přistupuje k formování vědy ve 20. století, a ukazuje, jak měla postmoderní kritika vliv na dnešní chápání vědy.

Abstract:

Experimental philosophy is a discipline with a bright future. This thesis is an attempt to define boundaries of this area, and classify it into the current multidisciplinary context. On one side, it clarifies the concepts, in which this subdiscipline works, and shows their development in the last fifty years. On the other it brings insight into the current situation of western science. In the second part, the thesis tries to show practical and current trends in experimental philosophy. This text critically approached the formation of science in 20th century, and shows, how postmodern critic had an impact on today´s understanding of science.
