In compliance with its title – The Status and Role of Prime Minister in Constitutional System of Japan – this thesis attempts to expound Japanese political and constitutional system, to characterize the Prime Minister’s position within this system and to describe the way in which the aforementioned reforms have affected functioning of the Cabinet.
