Managing work from home as a job of a 21st century manager

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou průzkumu spokojenosti zaměstnanců na vedoucích pozicích s konceptem práce z domova ve firmě SAP Ariba. Hlavním cílem práce je přinést přehled o míře spokojenosti vedoucích pracovníků a zjistit, zda jsou manažeři s prací z domova spokojeni či nikoliv, jaké vnímají největší benefity tohoto stylu práce, jaké vnímají největší problémy v rámci konfliktu práce a rodiny, a co pro harmonizaci dělá firma SAP Ariba. K získání informací od respondentů byl použit vlastní kvantitativní výzkum ve formě elektronického dotazování v angličtině. Na základě průzkumu bylo zjištěno, že manažeři jsou s prací z domova spokojeni, i když vnímají jisté negativní dopady tohoto způsobu práce a objevují se konflikty rolí osobního a pracovního života. Z průzkumu vyplynulo několik konkrétních oblastí, které můžou buď sami respondenti nebo vyšší management firmy SAP Ariba vylepšit a přispět tak k harmonizaci osobního a pracovního života zaměstnanců.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of surveying the satisfaction of employees in managerial positions with the concept of working from home in the company SAP Ariba. The main goal of the thesis is to provide an overview of the level of satisfaction of managers and find out whether managers are satisfied with work from home or not, what they consider the biggest benefits of this style of work, what they consider the biggest problems in conflict between work and family, and what the company is doing for harmonization. To obtain information from the respondents, the own quantitative research in the form of electronic surveys in English was used. Based on the survey, it was found that managers are satisfied with working from home, even though they perceive certain negative effects of this way of working and conflicts of roles of personal and professional life appear. The survey revealed several specific areas that can be improved either by the respondents themselves or by the senior management of SAP Ariba and thus contribute to the harmonization of personal and professional life of employees.
