The Knowledge Economy and its Determinants

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku znalostní ekonomiky a její determinanty. První dvě kapitoly práce se věnují definici znalostní ekonomiky, znalostem jako takovým; prvkům, které pomohly formovat znalostní ekonomiku, lidskému kapitálu a ekonomům, jejichž teorie položily základní kameny pro vznik znalostní ekonomiky. Zmíněni jsou i odpůrci znalostní ekonomiky. Poslední dvě kapitoly jsou věnovány determinantům znalostní ekonomiky, tak jak je definuje Světová banka a analýze vybraných determinantů na vybraných zemích OECD.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of the knowledge economy and its determinants. The first two chapters are dedicated to the definition of the knowledge economy and knowledge itself; elements that helped to shape the knowledge economy, human capital and economists whose theories laid the foundation for the rice of the knowledge economy are mentioned there too. The opponents of the knowledge economy are also mentioned. The last two chapters are devoted to the determinants of the knowledge economy defined by the World Bank and to the analysis of selected determinants in selected OECD countries.
