The level of driver's knowledge in the field of providing first aid at motor vehicle accidents

Abstract:

Teoretická část začíná stručným popisem první pomoci a jejím rozdělením na první pomoc technickou, základní a zdravotnickou. Dále se práce zabývá, jak postupovat při dopravní nehodě a při náhlém selhání oběhu. Je zde popsána základní kardiopulmonální resuscitace do jednotlivých kroků. Zajištění dýchacích cest, aplikace umělého dýchání a rytmické stlačování hrudníku. Práce se také zabývá postupem při krvácení a při poranění kosti svalů a kloubů. V další fázi teoretické části je popsán základní materiál nacházející se v autolékárničce a rozdělení jednotlivých typů autolékárniček. V konečné fázi teoretické části jsou popsány základní opatření eliminující poranění při nehodách a nejčastější poranění, která při nehodách mohou nastat. Je zde zmíněna edukace řidičů v rámci autoškoly a právní postihy při neposkytnutí první pomoci. Praktická část zjišťuje úroveň znalosti řidičů v poskytování první pomoci u nehod motorových vozidel. Skutečnost byla zjišťována pomoci dvou simulovaných událostí.

Abstract:

The theoretical part starts with a brief description of first aid and the distinction between technical, basic, and medical first aid. The thesis also provides recommendations on how to behave during a car accident and during sudden bloodstream failure. It describes the individual steps of basic CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), that is, securing the airways, performing artificial respiration (sometimes referred to as mouth-to-mouth resuscitation), and rhythmical pressure on the chest area. Furthermore, it covers the process when bleeding or bone, muscle, or joint injuries occur. The following chapters of the theoretical part describe the basic equipment and material found in the first aid kit, and outline the different kinds of first aid kits for cars. The final part discusses the fundamental precautions which eliminate injuries during an accident, and discusses several of those injuries. Education of drivers in driving schools and the consequences of not providing first aid are mentioned. Using two simulated events, the practical part tests the knowledge of drivers concerning providing first aid during car accidents.
