Nestátní prostředky právní úpravy mají v obchodních vztazích s mezinárodním prvkem velmi významné postavení. Umožňují totiž obchodníkům úpravu jejich mezinárodních obchodních vztahů tak, aby vyhovovala co nejlépe jejich potřebám a požadavkům, což by pouze v rámci značně rigidních a obecných národních právních řádů bylo takřka nemožné. Nonstate legal regulation have very important place in the international trade. It alows the businessmen to regulate their international contracts according to their needs and demands which could be very difficult just within the national legal systems.
