Numerical Model of an Layered Composite Profile

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou numerického modelu vrstveného kompozitu. Model výrobku je v tomto případě tenkostěnný profil z uhlíkového prepregu. Teoretická část pojednává o kompozitových materiálech, jejich mechanickém chování a problematice konečně prvkové analýzy. Podstatou praktické části je návrh konečně prvkových modelů s různým uspořádáním vrstev a zkoumání jejich mechanického chování. Z výsledků analýzy je nakonec vyhodnocen optimální úhel, pod kterým se na sebe kladou jednotlivé vrstvy materiálu.

Abstract:

This Bachelor Thesis presents an analysis of a numerical model of a layered composite. In this case of the product, model is a thin-walled profile made of carbon prepreg. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the topics of composite materials and their mechanical behavior; and the finite element structural analysis. Furthermore, the practical part of the thesis contains the design of finite element models with different layer arrangements, as well as the examination of their mechanical behaviour. As a result of the analysis, an optimal angle for the layers placement is determined.
