The Popes of the Second Vatican Council Presented in German Literature by Maria Calasanz Ziesche and Wilhelm Hünermann

Abstract:

This master thesis is focused on two significant popes, who organised the Second Vatican Council. These personalities are presented in the following two books, Er kam aus den Bergen by Maria Calasanz Ziesche and Der Pfarrer der Welt by Wilhelm Hünermann. Both of the books are analysed in detail and compared. The goal of the thesis was to contrast the style of writing in these books with the other books by the authors. The final part of the thesis includes a chapter about the Second Vatican Council.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na dva významné papeže, organizátory druhého vatikánského koncilu. Tyto osobnosti jsou prezentovány ve dvou knihách, Er kam aus den Bergen od Marie Calasanz Ziescheové a Farář světa od Wilhelma Hünermanna. Obě knihy jsou detailně analyzovány, jsou též porovnány jejich společné znaky a rozdíly. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jestli je styl psaní autorů obou knih stejný, jako v ostatních jejich dílech. V závěru práce je připojena kapitola o druhém vatikánském koncilu.
