In this thesis we will try to analyse M. Night. Shyamalans 2006 film Lady in the Water. This analysis consists of two different methodological approaches. First one is based on contemporary paradigm within field of film studies – New film history. This theoratical framework focuses mainly on economic and cultural context of given work of art.
