Between Teachers and Parents: about Communication Manoeuvres.

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá komunikací mezi učiteli a rodiči. Cílem práce je pojednat o tom, jak komunikaci vnímají dotazovaní učitelé a jakých komunikačních manévrů si u rodičů všímají. Záměrem kvalitativního výzkumu je popsat překážky, ke kterým při komunikaci může docházet a také způsoby, kterými si učitelé při komunikaci s rodiči pomáhají. Teoretická část se věnuje vymezení komunikace jako procesu a komunikace ve škole. Empirická část se zabývá metodologií výzkumného šetření a prezentuje výsledky získané na základě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů.

Abstract:

The master’s thesis deals with communication between teachers and parents. The aim of the thesis is to discuss how the interviewed teachers perceive the communication and what manoeuvres they notice in the parents’ communication. The purpose of qualitative research is to describe the obstacles that can occur in communication and also the ways in which teachers help each other in communication with parents. The theoretical part deals with the definition of communication as a process and communication in school. The empirical part deals with the methodology of the research survey and presents the results obtained on the basis of semi-structured interviews.
