Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá využitím hudby ve výuce angličtiny nejen jako učební metody, ale také jako terapeutické metody se zaměřením na propojení těchto metod a jejich následovném využití na běžných základních školách pro rozvoj jazykových schopností žáků. Cílem práce je seznámit učitele s pojmem muzikoterapie, najít spolehlivé zdroje, které dokazují efektivnost používání hudby v hodinách anglického jazyka podpořené zajímavými nápady využití hudby v hodině anglického jazyka jako učební metodu ale i prvek terapie a nabídnout zajímavé aktivity, které mohou být použity pro splnění jejich cílů. Teoretická část se zabývá muzikoterapií, její historií a současným stavem v České republice a Velké Británii a jejími metodami. Dále se zaobírá důvody používání hudby v hodinách anglického jazyka, co může u žáků rozvíjet a nabízí nápady aktivit, které mohou být použity. Nakonec představuje použití muzikoterapie v běžných školách, případové studie, a nápady na aktivity. Praktická část se věnuje výzkumu, jehož účelem bylo zjistit do jaké šíře, případně jestli vůbec, používají učitelé angličtiny ve svých hodinách hudbu i jako učební i terapeutickou metodu.

Abstract:

The master’s thesis deals with the use of music as both a teaching method and therapy in English lessons with the focus on the connection between these methods of use and its possible use of both in mainstream schools to develop the language of the pupils. The aim of the thesis is to get teachers acquainted with music therapy, find out reliable sources proving the effectiveness of using music in English lessons supported by some interesting ideas of how music can be used in both educational and therapeutic way and also offer the teachers with a number of interesting activities that can be used to accomplish their goals. The theoretical part concerns music therapy, its history and current situation in the Czech Republic and Great Britain and its methods. Moreover, the reasons behind using music in English lesson, what can be developed and presents examples of activities that can be used. Finally, application of music therapy in mainstream schools, case studies and ideas for such activities. The empirical part is dedicated to the research, whose principal goal was to find out to what extend or if ever do English teachers use music in their lessons as both a teaching method and therapy.
