Using of foreign language learning strategies by pupils in the end of first grade of basic education

Abstract:

Anotace: Diplomová práce se zabývá kvantitativním výzkumem strategií učení cizímu jazyku, který byl realizován v 5. třídách základních škol. Cílem výzkumu bylo, na základě dat, které byly sbírány pomocí dotazníku a didaktického testu, zjistit, které strategie učení cizímu jazyku byly žáky na konci prvního stupně nejvíce a nejméně používané. Zda existují rozdíly v používání strategií dle pohlaví a které strategie používají žáci s nejlepšími výsledky z didaktického testu. Na základě výsledků z výzkumu byly v diplomové práci popsány možné didaktické návrhy do praxe.

Abstract:

Annotation: The thesis is dealing with quantitative research of strategies for learning of foreign language that was carried out in the fifth classes of primary schools. The data were collected by means of a questionnaire and a didactic test and the goal was to find out which strategies for learning of foreign language are used by the pupils the most and which at the least. Further if there are any differences in use of these strategies in dependence on gender and which strategies are used by pupils that achieved best results in the test. On the basis of the research results possible didactic suggestions were described in the thesis.
