Práce je založena na terénním výzkumu na poli alternativní medicíny a některými jejími léčebnými praktikami. Autor v práci nahlíží do světa uživatelů alternativní medicíny a skrze technologický koncept moci, governmentality, pomýšlí nad vznikajícími mocenskými vztahy v terénu.
