Abstract:

Tato literárně-kulturní bakalářská práce se věnuje anglo-francouzským vztahům a skládá se ze dvou částí. Teoretická část mapuje historický vývoj Velké Británie a Francie a soustředí se na jejich komplikované vzájemné vztahy a jejich proměny během století. Praktická část se zaměřuje na výzkum literárních děl jak anglických, tak francouzských a dokládá různou podobu anglo-francouzských vztahů zachycených v řadě literárních děl od středověku až po současnost. Cílem této bakalářské práce je prokázat odraz historických událostí ve vzájemných vztazích Velké Británie a Francie a definovat způsob, jakým se tento vývoj zrcadlí v literatuře a jak se tyto dvě země vnímaly a vnímají.

Abstract:

This literary-cultural thesis deals with Anglo-French relationship and consists of two parts. The theoretical part surveys the historical development of Great Britain and France and concetrates on their complicated mutual relationship and its changes during centuries. The practical part focuses on research of literary works not only English ones, but also French ones and documents various forms of Anglo-French relationship recorded in a range of literary works from Middle Ages to the present. The goal of this bachalor thesis is to prove the reflection of historical events in mutual relationship of Great Britain and France and to define the way this development is mirrored in literature and what way these two countries have been perceiving each other.
