Bakalárska práca sa zameriava na rolu umierania a smrti v súčasnej japonskej kultúre. Súčasťou práce je historický vývoj pohrebov a pohrebných rituálov a taktiež prehľad postojov k umieraniu a smrti v dejinách japonského myslenia.
