Position and role of the president in the constitutional system with a focus on Central European states

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá postavením a úlohou prezidenta v ústavních systémech zemí s parlamentní formou vlády. Obsahem práce je komparativní deskripce forem parlamentních vlád vybraných zemí střední Evropy a postavení, role, význam a pravomoce prezidentů v těchto zemích. Východiskem pro obsah práce je obecné právněteoretické vymezení postavení hlavy státu v zemích s parlamentní formou vlády. Součástí práce je rovněž popis modifikace postavení prezidenta a ústavního systému ve vybraných zemích v průběhu posledních 30 let.

Abstract:

Diploma theses deals with a position and role of the president in the constitutional systems of the countries with a parliamentary form of government. This theses contains a comparative description of the forms of parliamentary government in selected Central European states and position, role, importance and powers of the presidents of these countries. Starting point for the theses is a theoretical definition of the head of state position in countries with parliamentary form of government. In the theses is also described the modification of the presidents position and constitutional systems in selected countries during past 30 years.
