Nonverbal communication of a teacher during primary school lessons

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá neverbální komunikací učitele při výuce na základní škole. Poukazuje na rozmanitost neverbální komunikace a uvádí v souvislostech neverbální signály, které může učitel při výuce použít, a jejich funkce. Samotný vyučovací proces probíhá za užití komunikace verbální i neverbální. Neverbální signály mají ve školním prostředí významnou funkci. Cílem práce bylo na základě poznatků shromážděných při pozorování v rámci kvalitativního výzkumu objasnit uplatňování a funkce neverbální komunikace při výuce učitele na základní škole. Především jsem se v této práci zaměřila na pohyb učitelů po třídě v průběhu výuky, na jimi uplatňovaná neverbální gesta, jejich pohledy a také na neverbální komunikaci učitelů při vyvolávání žáků. Empirická část této práce popisuje získaná data a zabývá se výzkumným záměrem.

Abstract:

This bachelor diploma thesis deals with the nonverbal communication of a teacher during primary school lessons. It points to the diversity of the nonverbal communication and states the nonverbal signals used by the teacher and their functions. The teaching process itself uses both verbal and nonverbal communication. The nonverbal signals have a substantial role in the school environment. The aim of the theses was to clarify the application and the functioning of the nonverbal communication during the primary school lessons, based on the findings gathered from the qualitative research. Primarily, I have focused on the movement of the teachers in the classroom during the lessons, their nonverbal gestures, the eye-contact and their nonverbal communication when calling on their pupils. The empirical part of this thesis describes the data gathered and deals with the research intent.
