Diplomová práce zjišťuje míru znalostí o výskytu ageismu u nelékařských zdravotnických pracovníků a míru výskytu prvků ageismu v jejich chování. Práce staví na kvantitativním průzkumném šetření závislostí mezi vzděláním respondentů a mírou znalostí o ageismu a rozdíly mezi věkem a praxí ve vztahu k jeho výskytu. Teoretická část stručně shrnuje problematiku stáří, stárnutí, problematiku ageismu a interakce ve vztahu k seniorům. Empirické šetření obsahuje analýzu a interpretaci dat, které poskytuje informace o existenci závislosti mezi nejvyšším dosaženým vzděláním respondentů a mírou znalostí o ageismu a zamítá rozdíl mezi vybranými věkovými skupinami respondentů a mírou výskytu ageismu, a také délkou praxe respondentů a mírou výskytu ageismu.

This thesis explores how knowledge of the presence of ageism by paramedical staff and the prevalence of ageism elements in their behavior. The work builds on a quantitative exploratory survey respondents dependencies between education and level of knowledge about ageism and age differences and practice in relation to its occurrence. The theoretical section briefly summarizes the problems of old age, aging, ageism and interaction issues related to seniors. Empirical investigation includes the analysis and interpretation of data, which provides information about the existence of dependence between the highest education level of respondents and knowledge about ageism and rejects difference between age groups were selected and the rate of occurrence of ageism and length of experience of the respondents and the rate of occurrence of ageism
