Influence extramural links to prison sentences and rehabilitation of the convict

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou úlohou rodiny v penitenciárním procesu odsouzeného a jeho resocializaci. Teoretická část se skládá z šesti kapitol, z nichž první pojednává obecně o trestu a trestání, dále pak o výkonu trestu odnětí svobody, třetí pak o právech odsouzených ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody, ve čtvrté se zabývám programy zacházení jako výchovného prostředku, pátá kapitola je věnována motivaci odsouzených ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody a v poslední šesté kapitole se věnuji extramurálním vazbám. Cílem praktické části je popsat a prozkoumat průběh resocializace odsouzených ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody v závislosti na fungování rodinných vazeb. Výzkum je proveden formou kvalitativní techniky, metodou zakotvené teorie, pomocí interview. Výzkumný vzorek jsou odsouzení k dlouhodobým trestům odnětí svobody nad 5 let a jsou prvotrestaní a ve výkonu trestu poprvé. Tato diplomová práce je pojata jako explorační sonda, která může sloužit k dalšímu zkoumání v této oblasti, nebo jako pomůcka laické veřejnosti, kterou tato problematika zajímá, také rodin, postižených touto negativní zkušeností z uvěznění její blízké osoby.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the role of the family in the penitentiary process of convict and his rehabilitation. The theoretical part consists of six chapters, the first of which deals generally with a punishment, then the sentence of imprisonment, the third is on the rights of prisoners in the prison, in the fourth I deal with the treatment programs as an educational resource, the fifth chapter is concerned with motivation convicts in prison and in the last sixth chapter is devoted to extramural ties. The goal of the practical part is to describe and explore the process of rehabilitation of convicts in prison, depending on the functioning of family ties. Research is conducted through qualitative techniques of grounded theory method, using interviews. The research sample are sentenced to long prison terms over 5 years and are in the first sentence and in prison the first time. The diploma thesis is conceived as exploratory probe, which can be used for further research in this area, or to assist the general public that are interested in this issue, including families affected by the negative experience of imprisonment of her loved one.
