Documentary payments used in Slovak banking sector

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis is concerned in the possibility of documentary payment usage in the banking sector of the Slovak republic. The first chapter focuses on the theoretical separation of documentary payments. Definision of documentary payments, their character, parts and course. We compare two commercial banks with residence in the Slovak republic in the second part of the thesis. We characterize the provided documentary payments and compare costs on documentary payments on an example model. The third chapter includes the evaluation of pros and cons of documentary letter of credit and documentary encashment usage and the formulation of recommendations.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá možnosťami využitia dokumentárnych platieb v bankovom sektore Slovenskej republiky. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na teoretické vymedzenie dokumentárnych platieb. Definovanie dokumentárnych platieb, ich charakteristiku, potrebné náležitosti a priebeh. V druhej časti porovnávame tri komerčné banky so sídlom na území Slovenskej republiky. Charakterizujeme poskytované dokumentárne platby a v modelovom príklade porovnávame ich nákladovosť. Tretia kapitola obsahuje zhodnotenie výhod a nevýhod využitia dokumentárneho akreditívu a dokumentárneho inkasa, formuláciu odporúčaní.
