Possibilities of Social Work in the Integration of Prisoners into Society

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma Možnosti sociální práce při integraci vězněných osob do společnosti v teoretické části popisuje smysl a cíl restorativní justice s vysvětlením rozdílu restorativní a retributivní justice, formy a zákonná ukotvení alternativního trestání v České republice (pozitiva a negativa tohoto trestání). Dalším krokem bylo představení Probační a mediační služby České republiky, její právní postavení, spolupráci s nestátními organizacemi a nástroje, jež jsou užívány, mimo jiné, i za účelem vypracování závěrečných zpráv a postupů, které jsou podkladem pro státní zastupitelství a soud, a jsou také opěrným bodem v rámci reintegrace vězněných osob zpět do společnosti. Z těchto teoretických podkladů je v této práci nastíněna náročnost činností probačního a mediačního úředníka. V empirické části je popsána metodologie výzkumu, který byl realizován prostřednictvím kvantitativní strategie, kdy technikou je dotazník a metody expertního dotazování. Cílem výzkumného šetření bylo zjištění, jaké nástroje nejčastěji používají probační a mediační úředníci při integraci vězněných osob do majoritní společnosti. V závěru práce je shrnut celý obsah diplomové práce včetně možných doporučení pro praxi. Jsou zde stanoveny hypotézy a charakteristiky základních výběrových souborů, použité metody během výzkumného šetření a analýza dat.

Abstract:

The thesis on the possibilities of social work in the integration of prisoners into society describes the purpose and goal of restorative justice as well as an explanation of the diference between restorative and retributive justice, legal forms and anchoring alternative forms of punishment in the Czech Republic law (positives and negatives of this punishment). The next step is the introduction of the Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic, its legal status, cooperation with NGOs, and the tools, which are used, among other things, for the purpose of final reports and procedures, which are then the basis for the prosecution and the court, and they are also foothold within the reintegration of the inmates back to society. From these theoretical bases in this work are outlined the demandson the probation and mediation officer. The empirical part of the thesis desccribes the research methodology, which was conducted through the quantitative strategies where the technique of research is a questionnaire, which is done by the method of expert interviews. The aim of the research was to ascertain the tools most often used by the probation and mediation officers during the integration of prisoners into the mainstream society. The conclusion summarizes the entire contents of the thesis, including possible recommendations for practice. It also includes basic assumptions and characteristics of the samples, the methods used during the research and data analysis.
