The Effect of Accelerated Ageing on the Mechanical and Rheological Properties of Rubber Filled by the Iron Particles

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se soustředí na vliv urychleného stárnutí na mechanické a magnetoreologické vlastnosti pryží plněných železnými částicemi. V teoretické části je popsán ideový princip funkce inteligentních a chytrých materiálů. Vybrané typy materiálů jsou popsány podrobněji, stejně jako jejich vybrané aplikace. Dále je teoretická část zaměřena na reologické vlastnosti magnetoreologických materiálů. Poslední část teoretické části je soustředěna na vybrané vlivy působící stárnutí a degradaci pryžových výrobků. V praktické části jsou připraveny čtyři dvojice pryžových vzorků na bázi přírodního kaučuku, které se liší obsahem plniv a plastifikátorů. Každá dvojice obsahuje vzorek s železnými částicemi a kontrolní vzorek stejného složení bez železných částic. Tyto vzorky jsou vystaveny urychlenému stárnutí v ozonové komoře a následně jsou testovány jejich mechanické a reologické vlastnosti. U všech vzorků jsou provedeny tahové zkoušky, zkoušky tvrdosti dle Shore, je zkoumána velikost trhlin optickým mikroskopem a jsou provedeny reologické zkoušky na rotačním viskosimetru.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the influence of accelerated aging on the mechanical and magnetorheological properties of rubber filled with iron particles. The theoretical part describes the basic principle of intelligent and smart materials. Selected types of materials are described in more detail, as well as their selected applications. Furthermore, the theoretical part is focused on rheological properties of magnetorheological materials. The last part of the theoretical section is focused on selected factors affecting the aging and degradation of rubber products. In the practical part, four pairs of rubber samples based on natural rubber are prepared, which differ in the content of fillers and plasticizers. Each pair contains a sample with iron particles and a control sample of the same composition without iron particles. These samples are subjected to accelerated aging in an ozone chamber, and then their mechanical and rheological properties are tested. Tensile tests, Shore hardness tests, crack size analysis with an optical microscope, and rheological tests on a rotational viscometer are performed on all samples.
