Financial analysis of Matrix, a.s.

Abstract:

Předmětem a cílem této diplomové práce je teoretické popsání a praktické provedení finanční a strategické analýzy na vybraném podniku. Vybraným podnikem pro diplomovou práci je společnost Matrix a.s. Tato práce začíná teoretickými znalostmi daného tématu, na které v druhé části práce navazuje jejich praktická aplikace. Teoretická a praktická část mají v práci stejnou strukturu. Na začátku se práce věnuje strategické analýze. Dochází k rozboru vnějšího a vnitřního potenciálu podniku pomocí PEST analýzy, Porterova modelu pěti sil a analýzy vnitřních zdrojů. Poté se část práce věnuje popisu finanční analýzy, jejím uživatelům a zdrojům informací k jejímu vypracování. Na tyto informace navazuje horizontální a vertikální analýza výkazů, poměrové ukazatele a bankrotní a bonitní modely. Výsledky a závěry finanční a strategické analýzy jsou přehledně seskupeny v rámci SWOT analýzy. Poslední část je věnována finančnímu plánu, který navazuje na výsledky analýz.

Abstract:

The subject and aim of this thesis are a theoretical description and practical implementation of financial and strategic analysis on a selected company. The company chosen for the thesis is Matrix a.s. This work begins with theoretical knowledge of the topic, which is followed in the second part of their practical application. The theoretical and practical part have the same structure in the work. At the beginning, the thesis deals with strategic analysis. The external and internal potential of the company is analyzed using PEST analysis, Porter's five forces model and internal resources analysis. Next part of the thesis is devoted to the description of financial analysis, its users and sources of information. This information is followed by horizontal and vertical analysis of statements, ratio indicators and bankruptcy and creditworthiness models. The results and conclusions of the financial and strategic analysis are clearly grouped in the SWOT analysis. The last part is devoted to the financial plan, which follows the results of analyzes.
