Práce představuje analýzu druhého filmu režiséra Sama Mendese, Road to Perdition. Za využití neformalistického přístupu dokazuje, že stylistické prvky kladené do popředí propagací snímku jsou plně podřízeny jeho narativní stavbě a nesou tak především expresivní a symbolické funkce. Abstract:
The study analyses Road to Perdition, the second film directed by Sam Mendes. The neoformalist film analysis is applied to prove that all the stylistic elements mentioned by the movie’s promotion are fully subordinated to its narrative structure and hence their functions are mainly expressive and symbolical.
