The issue of Traffic accidents and its Development in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá problematikou dopravních nehod na území České republiky a jejím právním základem se zaměřením na dopravní nehody v provozu na pozemních komunikacích. V jejím rámci je vymezena charakteristika dopravní nehodovosti s rozborem způsobů a metod prevence vzniku dopravních nehod, současně je v ní rozebrána strategie, kterou se bude Česká republika v budoucích letech ubírat. Práce se také zabývá vývojem statisticky vykázaných dopravních nehod na území České republiky v letech 2010-2021, jejich příčin a dále se pak zaměřuje na vytyčení nedostatků právní úpravy týkající se prevence vzniku dopravních nehod v provozu na pozemních komunikacích v České republice s návrhem možných budoucích změn, z nichž některé jsou již diskutovány ve smyslu jejich zavedení. Součástí práce je dotazníkové šetření, v jehož rámci byli respondenti dotazováni na své zkušenosti s danou problematikou, svůj postoj vůči změnám dopravních předpisů v nedávné minulosti a případným budoucím navrhovaným úpravám.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issue of traffic accidents in the Czech Republic and its legal basis with the focus on traffic accidents on roads. It defines the characteristics of traffic accidents with an analysis of ways and methods of preventing traffic accidents, it also discusses the strategy which the Czech Republic will follow in the coming years. The thesis also deals with the development of statistically reported traffic accidents in the Czech Republic in the years 2010-2021, their causes, and then it focuses on identifying the shortcomings of legislation concerning the prevention of road traffic accidents in the Czech Republic with proposals for possible future changes, some of which are already being discussed in terms of their introduction. Part of the thesis is a questionnaire survey, in which respondents were asked about their experience with the issue of traffic accidents, their attitude to changes in traffic regulations in the recent past and possible future proposed adjustments.
