Development of SMEs depending on the macroeconomic indicators of Czech Republic in the years 2004- 2013

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na analýzu souvislostí mezi vývojem počtu malých a středních podniků v letech 2004 – 2013 a jejich vztahem k celkovým makroekonomickým ukazatelům jako jsou HDP, nezaměstnanost a export. V teoretické části práce jsou vymezeny všechny základní pojmy v práci zmiňované a to jak směrem k malým a středním podnikům tak směrem k makroekonomickým ukazatelům. Podrobněji jsou pak rozebrány způsoby podpory podnikání malých a středních podniků v České republice a v rámci EU včetně asociací, do kterých se MSP sdružují. U makroekonomických ukazatelů, které úzce souvisejí s použitím dat pro bakalářskou práci, je uvedena stručná metodika jejich výpočtu. Ve sledovaném období má své počátky i ekonomická krize, jejíž příčiny a následky jsou v práci také uvedeny. V aplikační části se práce zabývá vývojem počtu malých a středních podniků a vývojem HDP, nezaměstnanosti a exportu. Poté jsou komparační metodou získané údaje porovnány a vyhodnoceny.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on analysis of the links between development of the number of small and medium enterprises during the period between 2004 and 2013 and their connection to overall macroeconomic indicators such as GDP, the unemployment rate and export. The theoretical part of the thesis defines all the key terms it mentions in relation to small and medium enterprises and also in relation to macroeconomic indicators. The methods used to support the business activities of small and medium enterprise in the Czech Republic and within the EU, including associations affiliating SMEs, are subsequently defined in more detail. A brief methodology used for their calculation is given for macroeconomic indicators linked to use of data for this thesis. The economic crisis, the causes and consequences of which are likewise given in this thesis, also originated during the monitored period. The application part of this thesis discusses development of the number of small and medium enterprises and development of GDP, the unemployment rate and export. The obtained data is then compared and evaluated using the comparison method.
