Professional competence of social workers when working with vulnerable children

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na profesní kompetence sociálních pracovníků při práci s ohroženými dětmi. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy, týkající se sociální práce, dále pojmy, které souvisí s profesními kompetencemi, jako jsou vědomosti, dovednosti, schopnosti a hodnoty včetně vzdělávání sociálních pracovníků. V závěru teoretické části bakalářské práce je definován pojem ohrožené dítě a organizace, které ohroženým dětem pomáhají. Organizace jsou rozděleny na ústavní a ochrannou výchovu a zařízení sociálních služeb. Výzkumná část bakalářské práce prezentuje výzkum, který byl prováděn formou dotazníku, určen pro sociální pracovníky pracující s ohroženými dětmi. Cílem bakalářské práce je odpovědět na hlavní výzkumnou otázku, jakou důležitost přikládají sociální pracovnice a pracovníci při práci s ohroženými dětmi profesním kompetencím z hlediska jejich subjektivního vnímání.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the professional competences of social workers when working with vulnerable children. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts related to social work as well as concepts related to professional competences such as knowledge skills abilities and values including the social work education. At the end of the theoretial part of the bachelor thesis defines the concept of vulnerable children and the organizations that help vulnerable children. The organizations are divided into institutional and protective education and social services facilities. Research part of the bachelor thesis presents research that was conducted in the form of a questionnaire designed for social workers working with vulnerable children. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to answer the main research question which importance social workers attach to professional competences in their work with vulnerable children in terms of their subjective perception.
