Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá hodnocením efektivity assessment centra, které je využíváno jako metoda výběru nových pracovníků do podniku. Assessment centrum je založeno na kombinaci více metod hodnocení lidí, více posuzovatelů a více posuzovaných. Uchazeči o zaměstnání jsou hodnoceni na aktuálně předvedeném chování a je posuzován rozsah, v jakém naplňují vybrané kompetence. Cílem assessment centra je predikce budoucího pracovního chování, což je efekt, který ověřuji v empirické části práce. Zároveň se zajímám, které faktory a jakým způsobem ovlivňují efektivitu assessment centra v podniku. Vysoká efektivita assessment centra v podniku byla prokázaná v případě, kdy kandidáti byli posuzováni ve dvou kategoriích vhodný a nevhodný kandidát a kompetence byly posuzovány jako silné a slabé stránky kandidátů. Nízké efektivity bylo dosaženo v případě, kdy jsou vhodní kandidáti diferencováni na více a méně vhodné a úroveň kompetencí je posuzována na pětistupňové škále. Faktory, které ovlivňují efektivitu assessment centra v podniku, byly rozděleny do tří skupin – pozitivně (např. dostatečné zdroje podniku pro realizaci assessment centra), neutrálně (např. charakteristiky posuzovatelek v assessment centru v podniku) a negativně ovlivňující efektivitu assessment centra v podniku (např. heterogenní složení účastníků assessment centra, které neumožňuje přímé srovnání kandidátů na jednu pracovní pozici). V závěru práce formuluji doporučení pro zvýšení efektivity assesment centra v podniku.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the evaluation of the assessment centre effectiveness which is used as an employee selection procedure into a company. The assessment centre is based on a combination of several methods of personal evaluations, several evaluators and several applicants. Applicants are evaluated according to their currently performed behavior. The evaluators assess the range, which applicants fulfil the chosen competency in. The goal of the assessment centre is a future work behavior prediction. This is an effect that I verify in the empirical part of my thesis. Simultaneously I am interested in factors which influence the effectiveness of the assessment centre and the ways of their influence. High effectiveness was proven in case when applicants were assessed in two categories a competent and incompetent applicant and a competency was assessed as a weakness or strength of the applicants. Low effectiveness was obtained during competent applicant differentiation into more and less competent applicants and in case when the level of the competency was assessed on a five-degree scale. I divided the factors that influence the effectiveness of the assessment centre in the company into three groups – positively (for example sufficient resources of the company for the assessment centre realization), neutral (for example characteristics of the evaluators) and negatively influencing the effectiveness of the assessment centre in the company (for expample heterogeneous constitution of applicants in the assessment centre, which does not enable a direct comparison of applicants for one position). In the conclusion I formulate a recommendation for the effectiveness of the assessment centre in the company improvement.
