Current Linguistic Situation in Quebec

Abstract:

In our bachelor thesis we focused on the current language situation in Quebec. In the first chapter of the theoretical part we gave basic and necessary information about the Quebec region and the Anglo-Canadian and Quebec population. In the next chapter we have devoted ourselves to the history of French language in Canada and especially in Quebec. We mentioned the most important dates and events that helped us to better understand the development of French language in this area. In the third chapter we focused on the French used in the delimited geolinguictic territory namely Quebec. We showed phonetic, morgological, lexical differences, anglicisms and other phenomena of Quebec French. The last chapter contains our own research. We will use more electronic resources to obtain and present information about two languages in one province and then mainly in bilingual cities such as Montreal.

Abstract:

V naší bakalářšké práci jsme se zaměřili na současnou jazykovou situaci v Québeku. V první kapitole teoretické části jsme položili základní a nezbytné informace o quebeckém regionu a anglické, kanadské a québecké populaci. V následující kapitole jsme se věnovali historii francozského jazyka v Kanadě a hlavně v Québeku. Zmínili jsme ty nejdůležitejší data a události, které nám pomohli lépe pochopit rozvoj francouzštiny na tomhle území. Ve třetí kapitole jsme se orientovali na problematiku francouzštiny uživané ve vymezeném geolingvistickém území, a to sice v Québeku, kde jsou fonetické, morgologické, lexikální rozdíly, anglicismy a další fenomény québecké francouštiny. Poslední kapitola obsahuje náš vlastní výzkum. Použili jsme více elektronických zdrojů, abychom docílili a prezentovali informace ohledně problematiky dvou jazyků v jedné provincii a poté hlavně v bilingvinních mestěch jako například Montreal
