Psychological aspects of a class climate and relationships in a class

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce bylo přiblížit veřejnosti, jakým způsobem žáci ze střední průmyslové školy vnímají distanční výuku a změnu vztahů ve třídě v důsledku virové pandemie COVID-19. Dále také zhodnotit, zda žáci preferují prezenční či distanční výuku a jak často komunikují se spolužáky. Pro výzkumné šetření byl použit polostrukturovaný rozhovor a účastnili se jej žáci prvního, druhého a třetího ročníku. Prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu jsme analyzovali získaná data, ze kterých vyplývá, že žáci preferují prezenční formu výuky především kvůli snadnějšímu pochopení učiva a kvalitnějšímu kontaktu se spolužáky. Také bylo zjištěno, že pohled žáků na změnu vztahů vlivem virové pandemie je poměrně rozdílný. Někteří žáci nepociťují žádnou změnu a s vrstevníky komunikují stejně, jako ve školním prostředí. Druhá skupina žáků cítí změnu pouze v určitých situacích. Ostatní žáci vnímají značnou změnu ve vztahu se spolužáky, především se jedná o významný nedostatek kontaktu.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis aims to present to the public how students from a high school of industry perceive distance education and the change of relationships due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, it aims to evaluate if students prefer full-time education over distance education and how often they communicate with other students. Semi-structured interview was used for the research and subject of the interview were students attending first, second and third year of the high school. The acquired data were analyzed through qualitative research survey and the results show that the students prefer full-time education mainly due to the curriculum being easily comprehensible and due to a more valuable contact with other students. The research also shows that the points of view on the change of relationships due to the pandemic is relatively different among students. Some students do not perceive any changes of relationships whatsoever and their communication with classmates is undifferentiated from full-time education. Some of the students perceive changes only in certain situations. Other students recognize a drastic change in the relationships with classmates mainly due to the significant lack of contact.
