Abstract:

WALICOVÁ, Veronika. Socio-demografické determinanty zdraví v členských státech EU. Diplomová práce. Brno: Mendelova univerzita, 2017.Práce se zabývá vlivem socio-demografických determinant na zdravotní stav obyvatelstva členských států Evropské unie. Hlavním cílem textu je zhodnotit vztahy mezi vybranými socio-demografickými indikátory a úmrtností v důsledku nejčastějších a nejzávažnějších civilizačních onemocnění současné doby. Mimo jiné text odpovídá na otázku, jaké jsou úmrtnostní a socio-demografické poměry v jednotlivých zemích EU. Poukazuje na nerovnosti ve zdraví obyvatel a analyzuje, zda v této oblasti dochází mezi státy ke snižování rozdílů.Teoretická část práce se věnuje definování hlavních pojmů, popisuje vybrané indikátory a charakterizuje současné zdravotní poměry v EU. Rovněž jsou zde představeny metody statistické analýzy, na základě kterých byla vytvořena výzkumná část práce. Jedná se o tvorbu kompozitního indikátoru, konvergenční analýzu, shlukovou a kanonickou korelační analýzu a mnohonásobnou regresi. Pro zpracování této části byla použita data sekundárního charakteru, pocházející z transparentních databází Evropské unie. Práce dospívá k závěru, že vybrané socio-demografické determinanty zdraví spolu s dalšími faktory ovlivňují zdravotní stav obyvatel EU, a že mezi jednotlivými zeměmi se objevují značné nerovnosti ve zdraví. Výstupy analytické části by mohly dále sloužit jako podnět pro realizaci účinnějších zdravotních politik, ale také jako základ pro další výzkum této problematiky. Zdraví je totiž nejdůležitější hodnotou lidské společnosti, a je proto velmi důležité disponovat aktuálními informacemi o vývoji zdravotních poměrů i faktorech, které je ovlivňují. Díky těmto informacím je následně možné vytvářet účinné strategie a opatření, a to jak pro snižování nerovností ve zdraví, tak pro neustálé zlepšování jeho kvality.

WALICOVÁ, Veronika. Socio-demographic Determinants of Health in the Member States of the European Union. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2017.The thesis deals with the influence of socio-demographic determinants on the health status of the population of member states of the EU. The main aim of the text is to evaluate the relations between the selected socio-demographic indicators and the morbidity as a result of the most frequent civilization diseases of the present time. The text corresponds to the socio-demographic question, what are the deaths and conditions in the individual countries in the EU. In addition, the text responds to the question as the perceptions and socio-demographic conditions in the individual EU countries. It points to inequalities in the health of the population and analyses whether there is a gap among these states in this area.The theoretical part of this work deals with the definition of the main concepts, describes the selected indicators and characterizes the current health problems in the EU. Also, there are presented the methods of statistical analysis in the basic of which a research part of the work was created. It is about the creation of composite indicator, convergence analysis, cluster analysis, canonical correlation analysis and multiple regression. For the processing of this part were used secondary dates coming from the transparent databases of the EU.The work has come to the conclusion that the choice of socio-demographic determinants of health along with other factors affects the health status of the population in the EU and there are considerable health inequalities among the countries. The outputs of the analytical part can serve as a stimulus for the implementation of more effective health policies. Because health is the most important value of human society, and it is therefore very important to have up-to-date information on the development of health and factors that affect them. Thank to this information effective strategies and measures can be created, both to reduce health inequalities and to continually improve their quality.
