Selected short stories of Estórias Contadas from Germano Almeida: An analysis focused on Cape Verdean identity (with the commented translation of a selected passage)
Abstract:
The diploma thesis is focused on topic of Cape Verdean identity in selected short stories from Estórias Contadas written by Cape Verdean writer Germano Almeida. The thesis is divided into three parts: a literary-historical and cultural context, a commented translation as an illustration of the issue and an analysis and commentary of selected short stories focusing on Cape Verde identity.
Abstract:
Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem kapverdské identity ve vybraných povídkách z díla Estórias Contadas kapverdského spisovatele Germana Almeidy. Práce je rozdělena na tři části: literárně-historický a kulturní kontext, překlad s komenářem jako ilustrace dané problematiky a analýza a komentář vybraných povídek se zaměřením na kapverdskou identitu.
