Health policy and administration in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Zdravotní politika i organizace zabezpečení péče o zdraví občanů patří do kompetence členských států Evropské unie a jejich orgánů. Tím se výrazně liší od jiných evropských politik, ve kterých členské země svěřily rozhodovací práva do rukou orgánů Evropské unie (zemědělská, obchodní, dopravní politika atd.). Současná pandemická krize Covid-19 však dokazuje, že i v oblasti péče o veřejné zdraví je koordinace v určité míře ze strany EU výhodná i potřebná. Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na základní principy a cíle zdravotní politiky České republiky a organizační strukturu péče o zdraví občanů. Celý tento systém je postaven na historických tradicích a je výrazně ovlivňován ekonomickou i politickou situací v zemi. Cílem diplomové práce je vyhodnotit současný stav českého zdravotnictví a zdravotní politiky, nastínit vybrané problémy v kontextu nároků kladených na zdravotnický systém a jeho instituce s pandemií COVID-19.

Abstract:

Health policy and organizations providing health care for citizens fall within the competence of the Member States of the European Union and their institutions. The team is changing differently from other European policies, in which the Member States have decisive rights in the hands of the European Union institutions (agricultural, trade, transport policy etc.). However, the current Covid-19 pandemic crisis proves that even in the area of public health care, coordinated coordination is to some extent beneficial and necessary on the part of the EU. This diploma thesis is focused on the basic principles and goals of the health policy of the Czech Republic and the organizational structure of health care for citizens. This whole system is based on historical traditions and is influenced by the economic and political situation in the country. The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the current state of Czech health care and health policy, to outline selected problems in the context of the health care system and it is institution pandemic COVID-19.
