Implementation of the program of treatment of convicted women in Opava Prison

Abstract:

Tématem práce je seznámení s institutem nazvaným Program zacházení. Práce si klade za cíl evaluovat Program zacházení realizovaný ve vybrané věznici. Evaluovat ve smyslu zjistit, jak vnímají odsouzené ženy nabízené nástroje Programu zacházení a jak hodnotí jejich přínos. Teoretická část se zabývá rozdílností ženské a mužské kriminality, trestem, vězeňským systémem, charakteristikou vybrané věznice a v užším smyslu se zaměřuje na Program zacházení a jeho jednotlivé aktivity. Empirická část bude prostřednictvím kvantitativní strategie hledat odpověď na stanovenou výzkumnou otázku a objasní stanovené hypotézy. Výsledkem práce bude zjištění, jak jsou odsouzené ženy spokojeny s aktivitami Programu zacházení a zda vnímají jejich přínos. Práce může být přínosná pro kompetentní pracovníky nejen vybrané věznice, ale vězeňského systému obecně.

Abstract:

The topic of the work is acquaintance with the institute called the Treatment Program. The thesis aims to evaluate the Treatment Program implemented in a selected prison. Evaluate in the sense of finding out how convicted women perceive the offered tools of the Treatment Program and how they evaluate their contribution. The theoretical part deals with the differences between female and male crime, punishment, the prison system, the characteristics of the selected prison and in a narrower sense focuses on the Treatment Program and its individual activities. The empirical part will use an quantitative strategy to find an answer to a given research question and clarify the established hypotheses. The result of the work will be to find out how satisfied the convicted women are with the activities of the Treatment Program and whether they perceive their benefits. The work can be beneficial for competent staff not only of the selected prison, but of the prison system in general.
