The Illustration of Everyday Life With a View to Contemporary Czech Poetry

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Ilustrace všednodennosti s ohledem na současnou českou poezii má za cíl vytvořit soubor ilustrací reagujících na zobrazení všednodennosti v české poezii přelomu 20. a 21. století. Teoretická část představuje všednodennost jako fenomén v umění, připomíná tvorbu Skupiny 42 a básníků kolem časopisu Květen, kteří se tímto tématem ve své tvorbě zabývali a jejichž produkce byla inspirací pro současné básníky tzv. empirického typu. Práce uvádí medailony tří vybraných autorů zabývajících se touto tematikou (Petr Hruška, Petr Motýl, Miloš Doležal) a specifika jejich tvorby, která je dále inspirací pro tvorbu autorských ilustrací. Autorka zmiňuje také výtvarné inspirační zdroje a definuje pojem ilustrace a funkce umělecké ilustrace. Smyslem praktické části je interpretace veršů básníků všednodennosti přelomu 20. a 21. století prostřednictvím tvorby vlastní umělecké ilustrované knihy. Téma všednodennosti je nadčasové a v umění často využívané, neboť je přístupné každému, proto je součástí práce také půlroční plán výuky výtvarné výchovy pojící se k této tematice.

Abstract:

The thesis named the Illustration of Everyday Life With a View to Contemporary Czech Poetry aims to create a set of illustrations responsive to presentment of everyday life in the Czech poetry of turn of the 20th to the 21st century. The theoretical part presents everyday life routine as a phenomenon in art, commemorates the creation of the Skupina 42 and poets around the Květen magazine, who were engaged in this topic in their creation and whose production was an inspiration for contemporary poets of so called empirical type. The thesis presents profiles of three chosen authors dealing with this topic (Petr Hruška, Petr Motýl, Miloš Doležal) and the specifics of their poetics, which is also the inspiration for the creation of author‘s illustrations. The author also mentions sources of pictorial inspiration and defines concept of illustration and functions of artistic illustration. The purpose of the practical part is the interpretation of the verses of poets engaged in everyday life of turn of the 20th and 21st century through the creation of artistic illustrated book. The topic of everyday life is timeless and often reflected in art because it is accessible to everyone, so the thesis also contains the biannual work plan for Art education which is connected with this theme.
