Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na detekci grafických formací v časových řadách. Grafické formace tvoří poměrně úzkou a málo využívanou skupinu metod tzv. technické analýzy, která má sloužit pro predikci budoucího vývoje časové řady. Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je vyvinout desktopovou aplikaci, která aplikuje grafické formace při obchodování s měnovými páry na Forexu. Úvodní část práce je věnována popisu Forexu, základním pojmům a principům obchodování s měnovými páry. K detekci grafických formací nejsou použity algoritmy pro zpracování obrazu, ale metody nelineární regrese. Použitý přístup je založen na aproximaci vybraných formací hlava a ramena, symetrický trojúhelník, vlající trojúhelník, resp. vlajka pomocí vhodných aproximačních funkcí. Součástí práce je testování úspěšností investičních strategií založených na grafických formacích. Praktická část popisuje funkcionalitu a ovládání desktopové aplikace. Aplikace disponuje možností načíst aktuální hodnoty valutových kurzů a zvolit časovou řadu libovolné dvojice měnových párů. Aplikace umožňuje provést detekci uvedených formací a na historických datech odhadnout ziskovost investování při zvoleném horizontu obchodování a při nastavených parametrech grafických formací.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the detection of graphic formations in time series. Graphic formations form a relatively narrow and small group of methods called technical analysis, which is intended to predict future development of the time series. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to develop a desktop application that applies graphic formations to trading currency pairs on Forex. The introductory part of the thesis is devoted to description of Forex, basic terms and principles of currency trading. Non-linear regression algorithms are used to detect graphic formations. The approach used is based on the approximation of selected head and shoulder formations, symmetrical triangle, flag using appropriate approximation functions. Part of the work is testing the success of investment strategies based on graphic formations. The practical part describes the functionality and control of the desktop application. The application has an option to retrieve the current values of foreign exchange rates and select the time series of any pair of currency pairs. The application enables to detect the mentioned formations and to estimate the profitability of the investment on the historical data at the chosen trading horizon and at the set parameters of the graphic formations.
