The history of social care for people released from prison with impact on Ostravsko and its surroundings

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zmapovat a popsat vývoj sociální péče o dospělé osoby propuštěné po výkonu trestu odnětí svobody, identifikovat subjekty, které v minulosti tuto péči poskytovaly a které se na této péči podílely. Zároveň si diplomová práce klade za cíl vymezit, jaké metody sociální práce byly při péči o tuto cílovou skupinu užívány. Historický vývoj sociální péče a metody sociální práce jsou mapovány na celorepublikové úrovni, s ohledem na vývoj na Ostravsku a okolí. K naplnění cíle je použita metoda historického výzkumu, založená na studiu zejména primárních pramenů. Primární prameny jsou čerpány ze Zemského archívu v Opavě a jemu podřízených okresních archivů. Obsah diplomové práce je rozdělen do pěti kapitol. První kapitola se věnuje metodologii diplomové práce. Ve druhé až čtvrté kapitole je zpracována sociální péče v jednotlivých sledovaných obdobích, doplněna vždy o exkurz do vývoje vězeňství a legislativy. Výsledkem diplomové práce je ucelený popis historického vývoje sociální péče o osoby propuštěné po výkonu trestu.

Abstract:

An aim of this thesis is to cover and describe an evolution of the social care for people discharged from the prison along with an identifying of the subjects that had been providing this kind of care in the past. As another objective is to define what methods of the social work were being used in the course of providing the care for a target group. Historical development of the social care and methods of the social work are being elaborated from the global-republic perspective with respect to region of Ostravsko and its surrounding. In order to accomplish objectives that have been specified, there was chosen and applied a method of the historical research based on the study involving mainly primary sources. Those sources originate from the ?Zemský archív? in Opava and its subsidiaries. Content of this thesis is divided into five chapters. First chapter deals with a methodology of thesis. Scope of the second up to fourth chapter is engaged in the social care itself enriched with the outlook into the development of the penitentiary and legislation. The outcome of this labor is a compact definition of historical evolution of the social care for people discharged from the prison.
