The UN Security Council and the possibilities of its reform.

Abstract:

ČERNÁK, Tibor. The UN Security Council and the possibilities of its reform. [Bachelor’s Dissertation] University College Prague – College of International Relations and Institute of Hospitality Management and Economics Ltd. Bratislava: 2023. 47 pp. The aim of the final work was to characterize the UN Security Council and analyze the possibility of its reform. The first chapter was devoted to the creation and characteristics of the UN, it also analyzed the function and importance of the UN Security Council and stated the benefits and shortcomings of the UN Security Council, the second chapter presented the reasons for the reform of the Security Council and characterized the primary historical efforts to reform the UN Security Council, the third chapter discussed the need for reform from aspect of individual groups and members of the UN Security Council in the 21st century, while at the end of the work proposing solutions and recommendations for the implementation and realization of a possible reform of the UN Security Council. The importance of the work consisted in the fact that it gave us an overview of the reform of the UN Security Council.

Bratislava: 2023. 47 str. Cieľom záverečnej práce bola charakteristika Bezpečnostnej rady OSN a analýza možnosti jej reformy. Prvá kapitola sa venovala vzniku a charakteristike OSN, rovnako analyzovala funkciu a význam Bezpečnostnej rady OSN a uvádzala prínosy a nedostatky Bezpečnostnej rady OSN, druhá kapitola uvádzala dôvody reformy Bezpečnostnej rady a charakterizovala primárne historické snahy o reformu Bezpečnostnej rady OSN, tretia kapitola rozoberala potrebu reformy z aspektu jednotlivých zoskupení a členov Bezpečnostnej rady OSN v 21. storočí a záver práce navrhoval riešenia a odporúčania na realizáciu a uskutočnenie možnej reformy Bezpečnostnej rady OSN. Význam práce spočíval v tom, že nám podal prehľad ohľadom problematiky reformy Bezpečnostnej rady OSN.
