P450 enzyme in plants - function and meaning
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis is focused on plant cytochromes P450, their properties and especially their function and usage. It is the largest plant family of enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of structural polymers, defense mechanisms, and hormonal signaling. Products of the reactions that these enzymes catalyze are also used by humans.
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na rostlinné cytochromy P450, na jejich vlastnosti a především jejich funkci a využití. Jedná se o největší rodinu enzymů u rostlin, která se podílí na biosyntéze strukturních polymerů, obranných mechanismech, či hormonální signalizaci. Produkty, jejichž reakce tyto enzymy katalyzují však využívá i člověk.
