Educational Communication in the Lessons of Programme UčíTelka through the View of Flanders Interaction Analysis System

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce analyzuje výukovou komunikaci ve vybraných třídách vzdělávacího pořadu UčíTelka s využitím upravené Flandersovy metody interakční analýzy. Teoretická část vymezuje pojmy pedagogická a výuková komunikace. Vysvětluje aspekty a důležitost výukové komunikace a popisuje rozložení komunikace ve třídě ve vztahu k času a komunikační struktuře. V empirické části je popsána metoda výzkumu. Pro tento výzkum byla v rámci strukturovaného pozorování použita upravená verze Flandersovy metody interakční analýzy. Výsledky ukázaly, že ve sledovaných třídách převažuje verbální komunikace nad tichem či nesrozumitelnou komunikací. Kromě toho je mluva vyučujících mnohem častější než mluva žáků, a to více než při komunikaci ve školních třídách. V promluvách vyučujících převažuje přímý vliv nad nepřímým, ale méně než ve školních třídách. V rámci diskuze jsou probrány možné důsledky vyplývající z nálezů a limity výzkumné metody.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis analyses the educational communication in selected classes of the educational programme UčíTelka with the use of a modified Flanders Interaction Analysis System. The theoretical part defines the concept of pedagogical and educational communication. It explains the aspects and importance of educational communication, and describes the distribution of communication in the classroom in relation to time and the underlying communication structure. In the empirical part, research method is described. A modified version of Flanders Interaction Analysis System was used for this research. The results showed that in the observed classes, verbal communication prevails over silence or unintelligible communication. Furthermore, the utterances of teachers are way more frequent than the utterances of students, even more so than in the communication in traditional classrooms. The teachers have overall more direct influence on the students than indirect, but less so than in traditional classrooms. Possible implications of the results and various limitations of the research method are discussed.
