Entry of the novice teacher into the profession

Abstract:

Tato teoreticko-empirická bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou vstupu začínajících učitelů do profese. Ve své teoretické části se zabývá učitelskou profesí, profesními kompetencemi a rozdělením profesních fází, ze kterých se vyděluje začínající učitel. Pro učitele není vstup do profese snadný a setkává se se spoustou problémů, o kterých hlavní část práce pojednává. Empirická část přináší vyhodnocení dat, jež byla získána zejména díky rozhovorům se začínající učitelkou. Dochází zde k mnoha zajímavým zjištěním, co je možné udělat pro začínajícího učitele ještě před vstupem do profese – jakési mechanismy, které mohou zamezit projevu nežádoucího šoku z reality. Dále práce dochází k zjištění skutečných problémů začínající učitelky, které v praxi reálně pociťuje a jak je na vzniklé situace schopen reagovat.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the description entry of the novice teacher into the profession. The theoretical part deals with the profession of a teacher - professional competence and division into professional phases including the novice teacher phase. The novice teachers' entry to the profession is not easy. The main part of the thesis deals with problems that such teacher encounters. The practical part focuses on the assessment of data which were obtained during interviews with a new teacher. Many interesting conclusions have been drawn - for instance what can be done for a starting teacher even before his official commencement i.e. certain principles which can prevent the teacher from being surprised when faced with reality. Furthermore, the thesis defines issues that a beginning teacher has to cope with in his everyday life and his reaction to these situations.
