Business Support from the EU Structural Funds (Cost-Benefit Analysis)

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Podpora podnikání ze strukturálních fondů EU (analýza nákladů a přínosů)“ se zabývá otázkou poměru mezi přínosy evropských dotací ve vztahu k nákladům na jejich získání v oblasti podnikání. Cílem diplomové práce je jednak zhodnocení stavu čerpání finančních prostředků ze strukturálních fondů EU v ČR do oblasti podnikání a dále také analýza nákladů a přínosů podnikatelů při čerpání financí ze strukturálních fondů EU. První část práce je spojena se základními informacemi o této problematice. Nastiňuje fungování evropských financí a evropského rozpočtu ve vztahu k dotační politice, dále se věnuje krátkému úvodu do metody analýzy nákladů a přínosů a popisuje strukturální fondy EU fungující v České republice. Další část práce je věnována stavu čerpání dotací do oblasti podnikání v České republice a následuje samotná analýza nákladů přínosů evropských dotací do oblasti podnikání a očekávané predikce pro dotační politiku v novém programovém období.

Abstract:

This thesis "Business Support from the EU Structural Funds (Cost-Benefit Analysis)" examines the actual business gains stemming from European subsidies, versus the cost companies incur in order to actually qualify for and reach these subsidies. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the status of drawing from European subsidy funds by Czech businesses, while also performing a cost - benefit analysis of this process from the business standpoint. First part of this thesis provides basic information regarding the issues to be examined. It illustrates how European financial policies and budget work in relation to the grant and subsidy policies, offers a short introduction of the cost - benefit analysis, and finally, it describes EU structural funds currently being used in the Czech Republic. Another part of this thesis deals with how effectively businesses in the Czech Republic are able to benefit from European subsidy system, which is followed by the actual cost - benefit analysis of using European subsidies by Czech businesses and a final prediction for subsidy policy for the upcoming program period.
