Financial analysis of the selected company

Abstract:

The subject of our thesis „ Financial analysis of the chosen enterprise“ aims at looking into the core of financial analysis, subsequent particular application methods of the chosen enterprise during a five year period and proposing measures which could make the enterprise operation more effective. The object of the financial analysis is KARLOFF ltd. with its seat in Kežmarok. The sources of information for completing the thesis are Slovak and Czech literature, publicly available annual reports , financial statements of particular years. The first theorethical - methodogical part includes starting points for financial analysis such as information about development , purpose , users , sources of information , methods and financial analysis indicators .The practical part is devoted to a concrete financial analysis of the chosen enterprise for the years 2014-2018. It also contains analysis of absolute indicators like horizontal and vertical assets and liabilities, profits and losses statements. The following section analyses ratio indicators such as the indicators of liability, moneyness, activity and indebtedness. The last part of this section deals with bankruptcy models and economic added value for financial evalution of the enterprise. Thee final part of the thesis covers evaluation of the reached analysis results . Based on these results we have proposed solutions of how to make the management of the chosen enterprise more effective.

Abstract:

Predmetom diplomovej práce ,,Finančná analýza vybraného podniku“ je rozbor podstaty finančnej analýzy, následná aplikácia jednotlivých metód nami vybraného podniku za obdobie po sebe idúcich piatich rokov a navrhnutie opatrení pre zefektívnenie podnikania daného podniku. Objektom finančnej analýzy práce je podnik Karloff s.r.o. so sídlom v Kežmarku. Zdrojom informácií pri vypracovaní diplomovej práce je slovenská a česká literatúra, verejne dostupné výročné správy, resp. účtovné výkazy podniku k jednotlivým rokom. Prvá teoreticko – metodologická časť zahŕňa východiská finančnej analýzy podniku, ktorými sú informácie o vývoji, účele, užívateľoch, zdrojoch informácií, metódach a ukazovateľoch finančnej analýzy. Praktická časť je venovaná konkrétnej finančnej analýze vybraného podniku za obdobie rokov 2014-2018. Obsahuje analýzy absolútnych ukazovateľov, a to horizontálnu a vertikálnu analýzu aktív, pasív a výkazu ziskov a strát. Následná je analýza pomerových ukazovateľov konkrétne ukazovatele rentability, likvidity, aktivity a zadlženosti. Záver tejto časti je venovaný bankrotným modelom a ekonomickej pridanej hodnote pre zhodnotenie finančnej situácie podniku. Posledná časť diplomovej práce zahŕňa zhodnotenie dosiahnutých výsledkov analýzy, na základe ktorých sú formulované návrhy na zefektívnenie ekonomického riadenia vybraného podniku.
