External Corporate Venturing

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je externí korporátní venturing. Jedná se o propojení korporací a start-upů, které může pomocí využití externích inovací vést ke zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti velkých společností, a tedy i k jejich trvalé udržitelnosti. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je identifikace klíčových faktorů úspěchu propojení vybrané korporace a start-upů. Naplnění hlavního cíle umožňuje splnění tří dílčích cílů. Prvním dílčím cílem je zpracování přehledu literatury a pojmů ze zkoumané oblasti. Druhým dílčím cílem je pomocí vlastního výzkumu najít odpověď na otázku, jaké jsou klíčové faktory úspěchu propojení vybrané korporace a start-upů. Třetím dílčím cílem je identifikace fází procesu výběru start-upů k investici ve vybrané korporaci.

Abstract:

The theme of this diploma thesis is external corporate venturing. It is an interconnection of corporations and start-ups which can, by using external innovations, lead to increased competitiveness of large companies and thus to their sustainability. The main goal of this diploma thesis is to identify the key success factors of the interconnection of a selected corporation and start-ups. The main goal is achieved by meeting three sub-objectives. The first partial goal is to elaborate a literature review and concepts from the area under study. The second sub-goal is to find the answer to the question, what are the key success factors linking selected corporation and start-ups by using own research. The third partial goal is to identify the stages of the start-up selection process for an investment in a concrete corporation.
